SAFE Swim Foundation is excited to announce a collaboration with Every Child a Swimmer, which allows us to provide two scholarships per month to children whose families may not otherwise be able to afford the cost of tuition.
To be eligible for these scholarships, we require the following:
- Parents understand that the lesson plan under this program is 5 days per week for 3-5 weeks, depending on how quickly students pick up skills. Lessons will be taught at The School of Yaya’s Fishes in Lake City, Arkansas. Families MUST commit to this schedule at this location to be considered for a scholarship.
- The child who is registered for these lessons MUST have the ability to crawl and must be at a “learn to swim” level.
- Parents must be able to prove financial (with meal voucher or most recent tax return) need by meeting the current Income Eligibility Guidelines for Free & Reduced-price Meals as set by the Department of Health.
- Applicants may not reapply for the same child within the same
While filling out a scholarship application will not guarantee funding, the SAFE Swim Foundation will give every application full consideration. Upon receipt, some additional information may be required depending on the nature of the request.
From time-to-time, we will also announce scholarship drawings for specific groups of people, including but not limited to fostered and adopted children, children with special needs, and children of veterans. These scholarships are funded through generous local donors who want to support our mission.
